Students engage with theory through LSI's AI-powered Virtual Learning Environment at their own pace, supported by a 24/7 AI virtual tutor to develop their knowledge. The core learning content is provided in various formats, including video, reading mode, audio-only, or dialogue mode, depending on the preferences and personal learning style of every student.

This is then followed by one-to-one time with human subject-matter experts, online discussion boards with fellow students for discussions and collaborative problem-solving, and applying knowledge to real-world challenges. 

Formative assignments and challenges are integrated into the learning process at every stage, with a diverse range of activities, including traditional quizzes but also AI-powered socratic questioning, self reflections, hands-on assignments, simulations and role-play.

It is designed to join the best of the two worlds for maximum educational attainment: human-touch and comradery, with limitless hyper-personalised, contextualised and dynamic learning content and AI support.

No. At LSI, AI does not design the courses or curriculum. Programme design, development and approval sit with human academic leadership, with review and approval by roles such as module leaders, programme leaders, external experts and the Academic Board. AI is fully integrated and used among other tools by the academics during the whole process. LSI's multi-stage, continious human-in-the-loop workflow for programme development ensures checks and safeguards throughout every step for upholding academic standards.

LSI's pedagogic approach uses AI primarily for formative assessment, with weekly formative assessments that generate near-instant AI-driven feedback so that both students and staff can monitor understanding of taught concepts and identify areas needing further support. These formative assessments take the form of interactive quizzes and Socratic self-reflections, providing students with clear developmental opportunities and timely feedback. Students also have the option to request academic review of their formative assignments with human subject-matter experts.

Importantly, summative assessment continues to follow conventional sector norms, with marking by academic staff, internal and external scrutiny, ratification at Examination Boards, and feedback, supported by rubrics, annotated text or audio comments, and access to past papers and model answers.

Every student is allocated a personal academic tutor before induction. Tutors work with the Student Success Team to provide academic guidance, study skills signposting, pastoral and wellbeing support, and career-related support.

Students develop a strong sense of cohort identity through live online events, discussion boards, and regular online meetings with fellow students and staff.

Personal academic tutors are central to LSI's student support model, allocated during onboarding and accessible from the very start of the programme, with responsibilities spanning general academic support, personal and professional support, and signposting to specialist services. They work closely with the Student Success Team and programme teams to identify and address individual student needs and choices, escalating concerns where appropriate. Their workload is explicitly protected through the LSI Staff Workload Calculator, which allocates dedicated time for tutoring activities, and they are positioned as a key channel through which curriculum issues surfaced in tutoring conversations can feed back into module and programme reviews.

LSI recruits academic staff who combine strong subject expertise with the ability to teach effectively in a technology-enabled, AI-augmented learning environment. You can still submit your application even if you have not yet received all of your documents, such as your final transcript or Certificate of English Proficiency. In such cases, you will receive a conditional offer outlining the specific qualifications and grades you need to achieve in order to meet our entry requirements.

Once you have obtained the necessary evidence, you can easily upload it through the Admission Portal. Upon satisfying all the conditions stated in your conditional offer, you will then receive an unconditional offer, allowing you to proceed with your studies at our School.

You must provide evidence that you meet the English language requirement for your programme. This may include previous study taught and assessed in English, an existing English qualification, or an approved test such as IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, or British Council EnglishScore. For those enrolled in credit-bearing short courses, additional documentation is provided. Participants will receive transcripts, alongside their certificates, issued in accordance with our Academic Regulations. This ensures that students have formal documentation of their academic achievements.

The certificate awarded will be a digital certificate. This certificate can be easily shared and showcased, enhancing your professional profile.

You will have access to Flexible Online course content for 12 months from the date of registration. At the end of this period, your access to the course materials will close.

You have 14 days from the date you receive confirmation of your course registration to cancel your place. To do this, you can fill out the cancellation form on our website or send an email to admissions@lsi.ac.uk.

If you cancel within this 14-day period, you will receive a full refund through the original payment method. However, if you begin the course before the cancellation period ends, we may charge you for the portion of the course already completed.

For cancellations made after the 14-day period, the following fees apply:

• If you have started the course, you will be charged the full course fee.
• If you cancel more than 10 working days before the start date, you will incur a fee of 50% of the course fee.
• If you cancel within 10 working days of the start date, you will be charged the full course fee.
