Executive Education short courses are generally designed for individuals in senior leadership or management roles, or those with significant professional experience. They focus on developing strategic thinking, leadership capability and organisational impact.

Professional Continuing Professional Development (CPD) short courses are aimed at individuals working in particular professions or sectors. They are designed to strengthen relevant knowledge and skills and support ongoing professional development in line with industry needs and practice.

All LSI short courses are delivered through Flexible Online Learning using an AI-powered Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Through the VLE, you can access course materials, learning activities, quizzes, reflective tools and other online resources, allowing you to study at times that fit around your professional and personal commitments.

Some LSI short courses carry academic credit, while others are non-credit-bearing. Where a short course carries credit, this will be stated clearly on the relevant course page.

The award of academic credit is governed by our Short Courses (Non-Credit and Credit-Bearing) Regulations, which ensure that credit-bearing courses meet the School’s quality assurance and academic standards.

The weekly time commitment for short courses varies depending on the specific course and its format. Detailed information about the expected duration and weekly study hours can be found in the 'Duration' section of each course on the Short Courses page on our website.

To apply for a short course, first review the information on the relevant course page, including the course description, content, duration, delivery method, fees and available start dates.

You can then complete the online registration form on the course page to request a place. Submitting the form constitutes an offer to enrol on the course but does not create a binding contract. A contract is formed only when LSI confirms that your registration has been accepted and your place has been secured.

Once your place is confirmed, you must pay the applicable fees and charges in pounds sterling (£), in accordance with the payment, cancellation and refund terms published on our website.

Our flexible online short courses are thoughtfully designed to integrate seamlessly into your existing schedule, ensuring that you can balance your studies with other commitments. Throughout the course, you will engage in a variety of activities that enhance your learning experience and provide a well-rounded education.

Under the Short Courses (Non-Credit and Credit-Bearing) Regulations, all participants who successfully complete a short course will receive a certificate of participation. This certificate serves as recognition of your engagement and achievement in the course.

For those enrolled in credit-bearing short courses, additional documentation is provided. Participants will receive transcripts, alongside their certificates, issued in accordance with our Academic Regulations. This ensures that students have formal documentation of their academic achievements.

Our commitment to educational standards and transparency means that certificates and transcripts are valuable tools for showcasing your accomplishments and enhancing your professional profile.

The certificate awarded will be a digital certificate. This certificate can be easily shared and showcased, enhancing your professional profile.

Certificates are issued within 2-weeks after the course completion date, allowing you to promptly update your credentials.

Unfortunately, we do not provide physical certificates for short courses. Instead, participants will receive a verified digital certificate upon successful completion of the course. This digital format allows for easy sharing on professional platforms.

Our decision to issue only digital certificates aligns with our commitment to sustainability and efficiency, ensuring that you can quickly and conveniently showcase your achievements without the need for physical copies.

You will have access to Flexible Online course content for 12 months from the date of registration. At the end of this period, your access to the course materials will close.

This provides sufficient time to complete the course, revisit key materials and consolidate your learning. We encourage you to make full use of the access period to gain the greatest possible benefit from your studies.

To ensure a smooth online learning experience, you will need a reliable internet connection, an up-to-date web browser and a PDF viewer on your device. These will enable you to access course materials, take part in online activities and complete assessments effectively.

Yes, internet access is essential for your course as you will need it to access the learning platform.

Details of short-course fees and payment arrangements are set out in the School Contract Terms and Conditions: Short Courses. The fee for each course is also published on the relevant course page.

When you submit the online registration form, you are making an offer to enrol. A binding contract is formed only when LSI confirms that your registration has been accepted and your place has been secured. You must then pay the applicable fees in pounds sterling (£), in accordance with the payment, cancellation and refund terms published on our website.

Payments are usually made by credit or debit card through our online payment platform. To pay by bank transfer or request an invoice for an employer or other third party, please select the relevant option when registering for the course.

You can still enrol on a short course if you do not have a credit or debit card. Simply select Invoice as your payment method when registering and follow the payment instructions provided.

Our refund and withdrawal policy follows the School Contract Terms and Conditions: Short Courses.

You have 14 days from the date you receive confirmation of your course registration to cancel your place. To do this, you can fill out the cancellation form on our website or send an email to admissions@lsi.ac.uk.

If you cancel within this 14-day period, you will receive a full refund through the original payment method. However, if you begin the course before the cancellation period ends, we may charge you for the portion of the course already completed.

For cancellations made after the 14-day period, the following fees apply:

• If you have started the course, you will be charged the full course fee.
• If you cancel more than 10 working days before the start date, you will incur a fee of 50% of the course fee.
• If you cancel within 10 working days of the start date, you will be charged the full course fee.
