About
Dr Husnain Sherazi supports the London School of Innovation as Chief External Examiner.
He is Associate Professor, Director of Student Recruitment, and Employability Lead at the School of Computing, Newcastle University, and a member of the Intelligent Systems Group, home to the National Edge AI Hub.
His research covers self-sustained IoT systems, embedded AI and intelligent edge computing, with real-world applications in smart environments. With over 15 years across different higher education settings, he has secured significant research funding and published more than 70 articles in high-impact venues on next-generation AI-driven IoT architectures.
Dr Sherazi has chaired sessions at leading conferences including IEEE ICC, INFOCOM, and EDUCON. He has supervised several PhD students to completion and examined over 20 doctoral vivas; many of his students now hold research fellowships and leadership roles in academia and industry.
Additionally, Dr Sherazi is the Area Editor for Ad Hoc Networks, Associate Editor for Internet Technology Letters, a Senior Member of IEEE, and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK.
