Dr Sandeep Sengar

About
Dr Sandeep Singh Sengar is an external examiner at the London School of Innovation.
He is a Senior Lecturer at Cardiff Metropolitan University, and holds a PhD in Computer Vision from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and an MTech from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology. He also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Academic Practice and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Senior Member of IEEE.
His research focuses on machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and image and video processing. He has published extensively in leading international journals and conferences and serves on the editorial boards of two reputable international journals. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Copenhagen and a visiting researcher at University College Dublin.
Alongside LSI, Dr Sengar contributes to academic leadership as a Board of Studies member at Sai University and C. V. Raman Global University in India, having previously served at Universal AI University. His other roles include research assessment, grant reviewing, and PhD examining. In 2026, he was selected for the competitive Welsh Crucible and Welsh Universities Research Leadership Programme. He has delivered over 150 expert talks worldwide.
