MSc Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Build the AI-powered ventures that will define the next decade.

AI is opening a new wave of entrepreneurial opportunity, not just for digital products and platforms, but for traditional service businesses that can be transformed through automation, intelligent workflows, data-driven decisions, and better digital experiences.

This programme is for people who want to spot those opportunities and lead them from idea to execution. You will learn how to develop compelling AI-enabled business models, design user-centred products and services, validate market demand, pitch commercially persuasive ideas, and deliver innovation inside real organisations.

Whether you want to launch a startup, transform an existing business, build an AI-powered service, or lead innovation from within, this MSc gives you the strategic, commercial, product, and leadership skills to turn vague possibility into executable opportunity. The world has enough AI demos. It needs people who can turn them into businesses.

MSc Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship MSc Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Programme overview

AI is changing what can be built, who can build it, and how quickly new ventures can challenge established markets. The biggest opportunities aren't limited to software startups. They also sit inside professional services, healthcare, finance, retail, logistics, and countless other sectors where AI, alongside modern digital interfaces, can transform how value is created and scaled.

In this master's programme you will learn how to identify problems worth solving, design AI-enabled products around real user needs, shape value propositions, and build the commercial case for innovation. You will then move beyond ideas and planning to execution, by applying product management, user-centred design, agile delivery, and leadership practices.

By combining digital entrepreneurship, AI strategy, user-centred design, delivery management, and innovation leadership, the programme prepares you to create, evaluate, pitch, and lead technology-enabled ventures with commercial discipline.

You will graduate with the ability to recognise where AI creates genuine advantage, and how to turn digital innovation into products, services, and business models that people will actually use and pay for.

Practical impact

Real-world application

Real-world application

Innovation matters only when it survives contact with customers, budgets, deadlines, and investor meetings.

Throughout this course, you will apply what you learn to real venture and transformation scenarios: shaping AI-powered service ideas, testing value propositions, designing user-centred digital experiences, building business cases, and planning delivery.

The focus is not pretty slides about "disruption", but ideas with a clear user, a credible market, a workable model, and a reason to exist.

By the end, you will have practical evidence of your ability to turn digital and AI opportunities into structured proposals, prototypes, delivery plans, and business arguments usable in a startup, consultancy, product team, or existing organisation.

Personal growth

Personal growth

This programme is designed to change how you think, not just what you know.

You will get better at spotting opportunities, asking sharper questions, challenging weak assumptions, and deciding when the answer isn't obvious. You will practise explaining ideas clearly, defending commercial choices, and working through the uncertainty that comes with innovation.

As your confidence grows, you will develop a practical entrepreneurial mindset: curious, sceptical, commercially aware, and comfortable with incomplete information. By the end, you will be better prepared to lead AI and digital innovation with judgement, clarity, and realism.

Career prospects

career prospect

Graduates of this programme are equipped to create the future of business, leading with confidence and clarity in the digital economy.

The programme’s primary focus is preparing you to launch, fund, and scale your own AI-powered venture successfully, whether that means building a fully digital startup from scratch or transforming a traditional service model with advanced technology.

Additionally, your entrepreneurial agility will make you highly sought after as an "intrapreneur" within established organisations. Legacy industries urgently need leaders who think like founders to spearhead digital transformation and launch new internal corporate ventures.

Accreditation

The London School of Innovation (LSI) is registered with the OfS, the regulator for higher education in England, and holds Degree Awarding Powers for taught degrees up to master's level. Why study at LSI?

Traditional higher education hasn't kept pace with how fast the world is changing. LSI is different: built around technology, innovation and entrepreneurship, and designed to help you thrive in a future shaped by AI.

Specialist in
tech & innovation

As a UK higher education institution dedicated to digital tech, innovation and entrepreneurship, LSI optimises your path to mastery and confidence.

We don't try to be everything to everyone. Our curriculum, our teaching, our faculty and our culture are all built around a single aim: helping you become a capable, well-rounded leader in an AI-augmented world.

Regular
one-to-one support

Instead of one-way lectures, LSI gives students regular one-to-one academic contact, because the hardest parts of learning often need conversation, challenge, reassurance, and judgement.

Studying at postgraduate level is intellectual, but it is also personal. Motivation, confidence, uncertainty, and ambition all matter.

A network of
ambitious peers

You'll study alongside ambitious, curious people. Those relationships rarely end at graduation.

Your peers and the wider LSI alumni network become collaborators, sounding boards, and the contacts who open doors long after you've finished.

AI-enhanced
learning

LSI’s award-winning AI platform acts as a 24/7 learning companion, helping you work through material, test your understanding, receive formative feedback, and identify gaps earlier.

The system provides multimedia explanations, interactive tasks, formative checks, and feedback on your work, while academic staff remain responsible for judgement, standards, and support.

Your learning journey enhanced with AI

LSI's award-winning proprietary technology uses AI to personalise study, give faster formative feedback, and support practice, while human academics focus on discussion, judgement, mentoring, and academic standards.

Every lesson adjusts to your pace and what you already know, so you're never stuck on the obvious or lost in the difficult.

Most subjects don't run in a straight line. Our Interactive Knowledge Graph maps how concepts connect and build on each other, then tracks what you've mastered and what still needs work, so nothing important slips through the cracks.

Get useful feedback the moment you submit, instead of waiting days to find out where you went wrong, then act on it while the work is still fresh in your mind.

This doesn't replace your tutors or academic judgement. Detailed feedback from faculty can be requested right after AI feedback. What it adds is momentum: you keep moving forward instead of stalling between submission and review.

Rehearse the high-stakes moments before they're real. In AI-driven role-play, you make decisions in lifelike professional scenarios and see how they play out, so you build confidence where it's safe to get things wrong.

Judgement comes from practice, not theory alone. You might lead a tense project review, work through an ethical AI dilemma, negotiate a technical trade-off, or troubleshoot a system failure against the clock, each scenario repeatable and tied to what you're learning.

FAQs

We recommend that all prospective students apply as soon as possible to secure their place in their desired programme. Each programme's prospectus and promotional materials outline specific start dates that align with our effective registration periods. By applying early, you ensure that you have ample time to meet any conditions of your offer and obtain your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) if required.

Once we receive your completed application, including references and supporting documents, we aim to complete the decision-making process within 8-weeks. However, this timeframe may vary during peak periods or if an interview is part of the selection process.

If you have applied for a specific funded opportunity, please note that decisions may take longer than usual. We encourage you to reach out to our Student Success Team if you have not received an update after 8-weeks or if you have any other questions regarding your application. Your journey to joining our School is important to us, and we appreciate your patience as we review your application.
